Mrs. Leona Metcalfe has been teaching at Immanuel Lutheran School for 28 years and in the teaching ministry for 32 years. She has taught every grade from first through eighth except third grade. Mrs. Metcalfe earned her BA in Education from the University of Northern Colorado.

Mrs. Metcalfe says, “When you work with kids, no 2 days are ever the same!” She loves interacting with the kids each day and building relationships with them. She is thankful she teaches in a school where she can openly share the love of Jesus with her students.

Mrs. Metcalf is married and has 2 children and 4 grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with family, cooking and baking, gardening, reading and walking.
