Do you ever buy groceries? Do you ever buy clothes? Do you sometimes eat at a restaurant?

Did you know that you can contribute financially to the ministry of Immanuel Lutheran School whenever you do any of these things? It's very simple. Before you buy clothes, groceries, home improvement products, or meals at a restaurant, stop by the school office and purchase scrip cards (gift cards that are used just like cash) for the merchant(s) where you will be shopping. Then use the cards for that merchant when you shop. Merchants that support non-profit organizations through the scrip program donate from 1-11% of the amount of money spent on scrip cards. You can designate half of the money used from your Scrip purchases to help reduce tuition payments for the set of people participating in the Scrip program. (Tuition reduction is just one of several designations available.) The other half of the money raised is used to make special purchases to help the school. So far, the Scrip program has helped purchase computer monitors, bleachers, a 15-passenger van, a bus for the school, technology purchases for Middle School, side basketball hoops in the gym, the fall Splash Bash, and much more.

Scrip cards can be purchased from the Bookkeeping office while school is in session, Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Wednesdays from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Scrip is closed on Tuesdays.  Scrip is also available for purchase after each worship service on Sunday mornings.  Scrip hours may vary during summer vacation as well as other school breaks.

Here are some great ideas on how to help ILS through the Scrip program:

• Buy Scrip cards for your weekly grocery shopping... as much as 5% of your grocery bill will go to help Immanuel!
• Use Scrip cards to purchase gas at Safeway or King Sooper's
• Re-charge your King Soopers card (originally purchased at ILS) at their service counter using a credit card, check, or cash and support ILS
• Planning a big home improvement project? Buy a scrip Lowe's card and 4% of what you spend will help our school
• Give restaurant scrip cards to one of our teachers as a double-powered "Thank You!"
• Do your birthday or Christmas gift shopping at the Scrip office...fast, convenient, and easy to wrap!
