ITBS Results for Immanuel Lutheran School

Immanuel students in 2nd through 8th grade take the Iowa Tests of Basic Skills (ITBS), a standardized, nationwide, academic assessment program in February of each year. This allows us to compare our students' academic progress to other students, not just in Colorado, but across the nation.

We were very pleased by Immanuel's ITBS results again this year. Overall, our results placed our students' academic achievement in the top 6% of schools nationwide.

The School to School Percentile compares our ITBS results to the results from other schools.   Average results would place a school at the 50% percentile. The best possible score is the 99th percentile, indicating results that are better than 99% of all others being tested.

The School to School Average of all grades for the subject area is as follows.  All scores are shown as percentiles.

Standardized testing allows schools to see areas of strength as well as areas of opportunity within their programs.  At Immanuel we take very seriously the need for continuous improvement in our teaching methods and instructional materials.  One area of opportunity where we're working on improvement is in mathematics, which is comprised of concepts & estimation, problem solving & data interpretation, and mathematical computation.  If you have any questions, please contact the school office.
