Who we Are

Immanuel Lutheran School is an independent Christian school and is a mission of Immanuel Lutheran Church.  We are part of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod and started with a preschool in 1977.  We now have classes for preschool students through 8th grade and offer before and after school care.

What we Believe

  • We believe that our students are precious because they are fearfully and wonderfully made and created in the image and likeness of God.
  • We believe in the Trinity, made up of God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
  • We believe in the authority of scripture in the Holy Bible.
  • We are all sinful and in need of salvation through the grace provided by Jesus' death on the cross and resurrection.
  • We must have faith in Jesus to be saved.
  • God loves us and desires a personal relationship with us.
  • God provides the model for our morals and values.  How we are to respect and treat others is Biblically based and does not change with our ever changing society.
  • We want to share this good news with others.

Accreditation

Immanuel Lutheran School is accredited by the National Lutheran Schools AssociationImmanuel holds  accreditation through the National Lutheran Schools Association (NLSA). The State of Colorado recognizes non-public schools, but does not accredit them.  The Board of Christian Day School feels it is important that Immanuel Lutheran School is accredited and held to a higher standard.  With this importance, we have elected to hold accreditation through the NLSA.  ILS has been continuously accredited since 1989.

The accreditation process clearly brings to light the strengths and weaknesses of our school, generates a list of recommendations for us to use for improvement, and provides goals that will guide us for the next several years.  Once attained, accreditation applies for 5 years.

Why Should I Enroll My Children?

As a parent, you have many choices when it comes to educating your children.  At Immanuel, we believe they need the daily nourishment of the Word of God in their lives, just as they need food to sustain their bodies. The world is working hard to pull them away from their faith in Jesus Christ.  We work in partnership with you to nourish their body, mind, and spirit toward Christ.

Area high schools welcome our Immanuel graduates because they are respectful, prepared academically, and have good study habits.  Our Iowa Tests of Basic Skills scores speak for themselves.  Students have a wide variety of sports, music, and other extracurricular activities to choose from where they have the opportunity to live their faith, try new things, exhibit leadership, and have fun.

After graduation at Immanuel, most of our students attend one of the public high schools in Northern Colorado.  This provides a time for them to transition from a Christian to a more secular educational environment while still living at home under your guidance and before moving onto college or career.

Other schools prepare children for life.  Immanuel prepares children for life AND eternal life.  Check out The Immanuel Difference to learn more about why Immanuel Lutheran School may be the best choice for your child.
